Updated Shipping & Delivery Policy

Flat Rate, Carrier-Based Rates, Free Shipping & Delivery Standards

At Blue Hills 3D Manufacturing, we utilize trusted third-party carriers (such as Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, and FedEx) to deliver your custom orders. Not all carriers may be available in your area. Please note the following regarding our shipping process:

  • Flat rate shipping is available to customers in the following regions:  BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, NL and all US states in the contiguous United States (lower 48). Estimated delivery times could be up to 14 days. Blue Hills 3D Manufacturing is not responsible, and cannot guarantee delivery times, for flat rate shipping.
  • Free shipping on orders exceeding $100 (pre tax) is available to customers in the following regions:  BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB, NS, NL and all US states in the contiguous United States (lower 48). Estimated delivery times could be up to 14 days. Blue Hills 3D Manufacturing is not responsible, and cannot guarantee delivery times, for free shipping.

  • Shipping rates calculated at checkout: Some shipping rates are not flat-fixed by us. Instead, they are calculated in real-time at checkout based on the total weight and dimensions of your order and your specific delivery destination.

  • Carrier Standards: All delivery timelines and "guaranteed" delivery dates are set and managed by the carrier, not by Blue Hills 3D Manufacturing. While we provide estimated windows provided by the shipping service, we cannot personally guarantee carrier performance once the package has been scanned into their system and out of our hands.

  • Production vs. Transit: Please remember that shipping time is in addition to our 3–5 business day production lead time. Choosing an expedited shipping method (like Overnight or 2-Day) speeds up the time the package spends in a truck or plane, but it does not bypass the time required to 3D print your custom item.

Once your order is manufactured and handed over to the carrier, you will receive an automated email with a tracking number. We recommend monitoring this link for the most up-to-date information regarding your delivery status and any potential carrier delays.

 

International Shipping & Duties Policy

1. Duty-Free Shopping (USMCA)

We are proud to manufacture all our products in Canada. Under the USMCA, most of our 3D-printed goods—including our shadow boxes, monograms, and organizers—are Tariff-free for customers in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

  • Note: While the items themselves are duty-free, local sales taxes or small processing fees from the carrier may still apply depending on your local regulations.

  • ALL orders entering the United States, regardless of value, are now subject to what appears to be a minimum 10% duty (unfortunately). Blue Hills 3D Manufacturing is not responsible for these charges. All import fees/duties/taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer.

2. International Duties & Taxes

For customers outside of the USMCA zone, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are levied once a shipment reaches your destination country.

  • Responsibility: Blue Hills 3D Manufacturing is not responsible for these charges. All import fees are the sole responsibility of the customer.

3. Refusal to Pay Duties

If a customer refuses to pay the required import duties or taxes upon delivery, the carrier may return the item to us or abandon it.

  • No Refund Policy: Because our products are custom-manufactured to order, we cannot offer refunds for items returned due to unpaid duties.
